Spellchecker's available for MicroB engine.

So, finally I'm glad to say that Spellchecker is ready =)
It was published on 23/11 on browser-extras but now it has some more fixes I really like:
- Fixed problem with non-ascii char, that means it's possible to use spellcheck with Russian language;
- UI fixes which save some space.

Spellchecker uses Hunspell which is based on MySpell and works also with MySpell dictionaries. Hunspell is the default spell checker of office suite and Thunderbird as well.

The main Hunspell advantages:
+ Extended support for language peculiarities; Unicode character encoding, compounding and complex morphology.
+ Improved suggestion using n-gram similarity, rule and dictionary based pronounciation data.
+ Morphological analysis, stemming and generation.
+ list of huge amount of supported languages

To install Spellchecker click here (en-US dic's included).
Find your dictionary which is ported for OS2008 on browser-extras->downloads or port any dictionary by self.

How do we change miss spelt words that are underlined?

MikeL said...

OK, Got it! double click on the word that may need correcting. Works well within MicroB.

Thanks for the post highlighting availability of Spellchecker.

Perhaps Screen calibration might correct it.

I installed on my n810, but I can not get it to work. I added both layout.spellcheckDefault and spellchecker.dictionary to about:config since they were not auto added when I dowloaded the deb file and intalled it. I tried both 1 and 2 for the value and the dictionary I set to en-US. what didI do wrong?
